Tips on fiscalized receipts in Croatia, 2025.

The numbers

Porezna uprava publishes how many fiscalized receipts carried a tip and how much was tipped. In 2025, 12,971,046 receipts carried a tip, for a total of €52,636,317.78, an average of €4.06 per tipped receipt.

The season

August was the peak month, with 2,239,986 tipped receipts and €11,190,475.78 in tips, an average of €5.00. January had 446,155 tipped receipts and €805,413.02 in tips, an average of €1.81. August brought almost 14 times the tips of January.

What the number covers

The figures cover all activities, not only hospitality. They count tips recorded on a fiscalized receipt. A tip left in cash and never added to a receipt does not appear, so the total is a floor, not the full amount.

Takeaway

Tips swing with the season. If tips are part of how staff are paid, the summer months carry most of the year.
